Within this blackness, I'm trapped forever
I can't move, I can't breathe
I cannot reach salvation
Beneath this ageless slab of stone
I am hidden from the sun
Penance for the sins that I have done
I want to die, but I am bound
Inside my coffin, under the ground
I know I am dead, but why can I feel?
The vile silence, eternal peace
The putrid stench of all the deceased
It must be a dream, this cannot be real
All of the blasphemies
Calling of the dead
Countless atrocities
Upon the realms of God and Man
I am a vessel
For the wandering traveler
Awakened by sorcery
At another's command

Powerful, plaintive expression of the fathomless sorrow of our suffering cetaceans and their depthless home, together with the indescribable loveliness of their distant blue-black realm. I feel as much interstellar space here as I do deep ocean, equally crushing and buoying. Dave Aftandilian

one of the best death doom bands so far. great melodies with great atmospheres. mostly slow, heavy and doomy but sometimes there are these groovy double-bass drum moments wich are pretty fucking cool. if you like death doom and melodic atmospheric black metal, this is for you. Sælzer Bub
A blackened doom concept record about the very real problem of amphibian extinction, “Croak” is a punishing, essential listen. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 23, 2022

A record of wave-like production and washing, encompassing guitar riffs. It's criminal this hasn't gotten further reach, but it's well worth the purchase. Brett (Lascaille's Shroud / Soulmass)
